writes: I'm 22 and work in retail. recently, i started a new job and i really fancy my boss. we get on very well and it felt like we clicked as soon as we met.he always used to compliment my work and attitude towards customers, more than other staff and i used to catch him looking at me and smiling but quickly turning away. we both share the same positive attitude and energy.the problem is i told him a few weeks ago about how i felt and he said he is happy at home and is getting married in a few weeks. since then he's backed off a bit, not complimenting me much, spending time with me or holding eye contact. a few weeks ago, we stayed late together, although there were still staff around. he told me about his friend having an affair with an employee in the stock room in the evenings(this was said when we were in the stock room alone together) and this happened after my confession.ive told my friend about him and hes convinced my boss likes me. i mentioned this to my boss in the staff room, when we were alone and he hadn't responded. he just looked at his phone.a couple of days ago he was on lunch and we properly chatted and although we were a bit down from having a bad day we ended up laughing and having a great talk about work stuff for about an hour alone. i've noticed i effect his mood in a positive way and he has told me this once (before my confession).i'm just wondering if he does he like me or is it just in my head because i like him so much?
