So_Very_Confused agony auntMasturbating is good for your health both mental and physical.

it does not decrease physical strength

you will not go blind

you will not grow hair on your palms

you will relieve stress and tension.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (8 June 2012):

Excessive masturbation (multiple times per day) and/or masturbating for long periods of time can cause a repetitive stress injury to soft tissue in the arm, shoulder, or neck...but this is no different than typing or using a mouse at a computer for long periods of time.

As long as you do not spend long periods of time masturbating or masturbate many times a day, you should not experience any loss of strength. If you notice your arm, shoulder or neck is tense or painful during or after masturbation, this is an indication you may be causing soft tissue irritation or damage which (over long periods of time) can lead to a loss of strength.

A reader, anonymous, writes (8 June 2012):

I can only speak for myself, but having an orgasm completely relaxes me. So, yes, it temporarily depletes your energy, but this usually does not last long. If you have to run a race or do something where you're involved in a contest, I wouldn't masturbate beforehand because it will relax all of your muscles.
