I agree with others that you probably shouldn't read too much into the wink. He probably just appreciated the compliment, and that's all. Also "kiddo" isn't really something you call someone you're interested in. It's more of a condescending term - nothing to take offense at, but...It's like saying "aww, thanks" or "that was so cute" you know? if there is a big age gap between you two, and he said that, he's probably not interested in you romantically or sexually.
Don't be hurt by that though, he was nice enough to respond to you.
