writes:Me and my ex broke up a while ago because he cheated on me, yeah I know it's bad but like he was with her for a few weeks and she didnt let him talk to me even as a friend. Recently, the day before new years eve he called me saying things are done between them and that he really wants me to go with him on new years to a overnight party. I went and we kissed and he said he really wants to be with me, that things will change for the better for me and him. To be honest it was a great night with him. He said he loves me still and he missed me when we didnt talk and it killed him not talking to me. We were kinda acting like a couple that night and the day after.The following day he tells me we need to work things out as friends 1st.. then stops talking to me. Well today we talked about everyhting and he said he doesn't know right now who he wants to be with. He couldnt even look me in the eyes or at me in general. He was telling me how he likes her because she's more his age and they have a few things in common but he likes me because he knows he wouldn't have to worry about anything. We can really never get mad at each other or argue like him and her do and we have a lot in common and that I'm the only one who knows him really well and what's in his heart and same for him to me. He said it would be so much easier to make a decision if I wasnt in high school.So basically my question is does he deep down really want to be with me or with her?and why couldnt he even look me in the eyes?I know I will get different answers then from the one I want but please if you can help with just answering my questions it would make me feel so much better.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 January 2009): he still cares about her and he has feelings for you as being safe but he moved on or he couldnt keep from talking to you he probley feels bad for leading you on and dont know how to come out with as he cared for you at one time and knows hes probably hurting you all over again thats the only reason i can think of that he couldnt look you in the eyes
