Does he not want me at his place?

This guy that I was seeing a few months back recently contacted me...we kind of just stopped talking. Out of the blue he gets in touch with me last week, and he's asking if I want to meet up with him sometime to hang out. Before when we were seeing each other, he would always invite me to hang out at his place. Now he's telling me we should hang out somewhere, and wherever it is, I'm assuming it's not his place. Does that mean that he doesn't want me at his place or am I reading too much into it?
