She takes the pill regularly, every morning between 7-8, but will an abormally large amount of semen simply overwhelm the pill?I understand that different pills function differently, some simply protect the egg while others deceive the body using hormones. Her pill is Yaz, but beyond that I don't know anything else.

Any amount of your semen will be blocked just the same by your girlfriend's birth control. Just be careful about when you two have sex around her period. Make sure she is back on the pill before stopping other methods. The pill is only effective when it is being taken.
Also, ask your girlfriend to read up on Yaz. There have been cases of people getting blood clots and having other problems more often on that pill than others. Have her go to this site: http://www.yazsideeffectslawsuit.com/

Keep in mind that the effectiveness of Yaz is 99% in preventing an unwanted pregnancy. So if you're still ejaculating in your girlfriend without a condom there's still that 1%.
The amount of your "load" doesn't affect the birth control. But since you're ejaculating in her you still have a 1% of getting her pregnant. Use a condom if you're that worried about it.

-Some prevent the egg from being released.
-Some control the quality of the uterine lining (where an embryo would attach) and force the shedding cycle.
Whatever birthcontrol she is on, it essentially makes her infertile.
So, no, I don't think your motherload is more powerful than the pill.
That is the first time I've ever heard anyone describe sex like they were taking about wine.
I especially liked the part, "had an abnormally large finish."
