Does barely legal porn set a trigger for middle-aged men when young teenage girls come into their visual range

A female United States age , anonymous writes:

My boyfriend of 51 years of age likes Barely Legal Porn. That is the only type of porn he likes. He buys the cd's and also the Barely Legal Magazines. He tags the magazine pages with sticky notes of the young girls that he likes.

What I have noticed, and I am assuming it is a trigger from this type of porn, is that if a young teenage girl is in the vicinity and in his visual range, he will check her out.

One teenage girl was the daughter of a waitress at a local restaurant we frequent. She is in high school. He was staring at her so much that she finally looked at him and asked "What?" Another time she was walking back home from the restaurant and we left at the same time and I noticed that when she got half-way across the cross-walk, my boyfriend kind of cut her off at the cross-walk in his car as he drove by her. She looked up startled.

Also, in the same restaurant there was a father and his daughter dining together in the back. And it was them and just us. I had my back to them. My boyfriend just had to get up and go by them and I glanced back and I noticed that he walked by their table and he was looking at her. When the father got up to pay the bill my boyfriend struck up a conversation with the father at the till and he said something about the daughter being 12 years old. She did look much older, like 20, because she was so tall. I noticed after my boyfriend sat bakc down with me that he was flush with excitement.

Another example was when we were in a grocery store and a teenage girl had on a demin mini skirt and she was also with her father. Of course, my boyfriend noticed her. And wouldn't you know it, we got in line to check out and they were both in front of us. The father turned around and my boyfriend said "hi" to the father. I thought how weird. I don't have ESP but my boyfriends actions and demeanor says it all.

I am starting to feel this type of porn is detrimental and has skewed his perception of women beings this type of porn is what he only watches.

He looks at other women too, in front of me, not just teenagers and that is another issue in and of itself. It is not merely just occasional wandering eye syndrome, it's the elevator look--up and down--behind his sunglasses, checking out a woman's ass, married and with her spouse or without when she passes us by and on and on. He is always looking. It's like a sickness.

But the young girl teenager staring is starting to creep me out.

Does anyone else have these issues with their man watching teenage porn and what, if anything, can be done about it?

Abella agony auntI think I would give this guy a very very wide birth.

If he continues this fascination and takes it one step further you may not like what you see. He has a serious problem. I would not want to be within 100 miles of a man who behaves this way around teen girls

You've got it backwards.

The porn hasn't skewed his perception, his perception has skewed his choice in porn. He's sexually aroused by teenage girls and masturbating to Barely Legal images is the only way he can satisfy his urges without engaging in overtly creepy if not unlawful behavior.

I won't publicly suggest he's a pedophile, but the oeuvre of Barely Legal is that of posing consenting, compensated, young adult professional models (proof of age on file) in make-up, costumes and settings more befitting of fictional characters younger than the models' legal documents of identification would indicate they are in real life.

Mainstream television and motion picture producers often hire actors in their twenties to play teenagers in order to bypass restrictive child labor laws and avoid any potential legal problems. Given the justifiably harsh penalties in place for those who sexually exploit minors for profit, Barely Legal smut peddlers operate under a similar business model and their "artistic" goal is the same as legit showbiz: make their audience believe that the adult actors they've hired are really the same age as the minor characters they portray.

You can't stop "your man" from watching Barely Legal porn because you can't stop him from being attracted to teenage girls which is why he watches Barely Legal porn employing legally consenting adult professional models, and Barely Legal wouldn't be expoiting that niche of the porn business if it wasn't profitable.

I think i remember a similar post to this one some time ago. I'm afraid it is not the porn or magazines making him this way it is a deep seated desire. Porn and magazines only fuel the fire. Remove those and the problem won't go away. For some reason he has been hard wired to find them the most sexually attractive females on the planet and ever more will it be so ..for him.

Eyeing up kids then striking up conversations with their parents sounds pretty darned creepy to me, doesnt sound healthy at all!

Sorry but your boyfriend has a major problem. Have you checked this guy out against any registers?

If not and you have youngsters in your family it is incumbent upon you to do so. Personally I couldn't be around a guy like that, no matter how nice he was to me but it is your choice if you choose to stick around for him but please don't leave any youngsters in his care....ever. His type can not be trusted no matter how nice you find him.

"What can be done about it?" you can leave him and find someone else who will respect you. You won't be able to change him, you'll just turn it into a cat and mouse game where you're always trying to catch him and he's always sneaking around.

In his defense superficially desiring a teenager is INCREDIBLY common, as they are physically at their prime and relatively innocent, but he's crossed the line in my opinion and I'd agree his behavior is creepy and inappropriate.

There are certain issues that are deal breakers. They may seem minor but if he won't change and you won't learn to accept it then this is definitely one of those cases where you should find somebody you're more compatible with.

Sounds like you have a problem with this dude. He is taking this obsession a bit too far, especially in public. Its one thing if he only likes looking at young (over 18) naked girls on the internet. There's nothing wrong with that, provided that they are of legal age. I'll admit that I will discreetly check out any pretty girl who is developed (no pre-pubescent girls), because I am biologically wired to notice. But, I don't stare and leer at them, that's creepy. Maybe he is deluding himself into thinking he actually has a shot at landing a young hottie? If I were you I would ditch this one and move on.

Dodds agony auntWhat surely can anyone do if they happen to be dating a full grown pervert (no offense, but he is!!)?

Your man is supposed to be a role model, providing guidance and leadership in various spheres of life, and to various individuals, instead of secretly designing ways to steal the baby from it's candy.

What if he had access to these kids, what do you think he'd do? And I guess you love him but is that really the kind of guy you want around little girls, i.e. your sister or neighbor's kids who might be staying over for the holidays?? Let alone spend the rest of your life with?

You need to talk to him and if it's a non-negotiable issue for him, then I'm sorry, but you really have your work cut out for you!!

R1 agony auntI find the whole idea of teenage porn disgusting. If men have to watch porn that's one thing but teenage girls is wrong.

The porn isn't making him like young girls, he likes young girls so he looks at barely legal porn.

If it were me I'd be telling him to burn the mags and not to buy any more!!
