In religious speak 'grace' is defined as undeserved favour or undeserved merit. But, I listened to a Meatloaf song the other day, 'Two out of three aint bad' and the only reason I listened to it was I like his vocals and the rythmn. That's all, I have no reason to need or want the lyrics at this time. In fact I was singing it around the house with no ulterior motive. Ask him if you are worried.

We can't tell you why he's listening to a song, only he know why he likes a song and also what he is feeling when listening to it.
If you think he's sad, tell him you're here for him and if he wants to talk you'll listen. Otherwise you just need to keep things normal, arrange things to do and try and have happy times together.
