writes: I was wondering if anybody else dislikes talking to their partner through things like Skype and windows messenger?I'm absolutely fine talking to my boyfriend face to face, on the phone, email, text... but through Skype I don't know, there's something about it that I just don't really like. And I don't get this with my other friends, I'd just prefer not to talk to my bf using it. I will if we're both online, but I'd definitely prefer to shoot him a text or call him. This isn't a problem because I don't even use instant message programs all that much, I'm just very curious if anybody else feels the same!

when we were LDR we skyped occasionally... but usually phone or email.. rarely texting..... IF you are local and see each other regularly I see no need for skype.

I feel the same. Messenger is even worse than Skype, where at least you can see the facial expression (less room for misunderstandings!).

You can Skype friends etc but I think texting can be more personal or general depending on what worded init..I like calling better though lol or face to face with me hubby, but can relate to what you're at..
