It seems to me that guys just love doing it for several reasons: they can text few girls at the same time, they don't have to continue converstaion they don't like, they don't have to answer text if they don't want to.For me it's so impersonal. People stoped calling each other and have an actual conversation.I stoped answering texts from guys, and guess what? they still don't call. I tell all the guys i meet that i really don't like to be texted to all day long, but nevermind that, they still text, instead of calling. They text late at night, like it's more appropriate than calling so late. I think what they do is just trying to keep in touch w/as many girls as possible. Texting made it so easy. Some just text without actually going on a date as they keep in touch with so many that they probably don't even remember what a girl looks like.I desided not to text back to guys anymore and see what happens. Will someone actually pick up a phone and call, i wonder. We were just discussing this w/my girlfriend at the restaurant yesterday, and she completely agreed w/me on that. We asked a waiter to pack our food for us. Couple hours later we got hungry again, and decided to finish leftovers from dinner, when we unpacked the package, there was a not;'Please, text me" and a number. We just laughed. We didn't even know who he liked- me or her.I don't know may be iam overreacting w/this texting thing, but it's very confusing to me, especially when i really start to like a guy. I never know if he is texting just me or few other people. Sometimes guys answer w/significant delay, thats when i know that they probably have few people texting at the same time. Texting was invented for convinience when you are at work or somewhere where there is a lot of noice that you cant have a conversation, but not to actually converse w/someone on a regular basis. Social scene changed. All ages text all the time, during dinner, at the movies, everywhere. Does anyone else feels like me?

I think itsd so sad when people say things like 'I've just eaten my foot' on their wee status update thingy and all these people who would never talk to you in real life want to be your 'friend'. I've got an account, but I hate the idea that people use it (and texting/emailing for that matter) as an alternative for actually meeting up and seeing each other face to face. I'm glad someone else feels the same as me! :) x

Also there is no such thing, as i am going to sleep, talkl to u tomorrow, or busy now, can i text you later. They just don't answer. Drives me nuts!! Thank you, girls for answering.
