writes: Does anybody know how long waxing lasts for? I'm seeing my boyfriend this weekend and want to get a full brazilian as i've heard waxing is far better and lasts a long time. The thing is my appointment is on Thursday this week, but then the next time i'll see him is Valentines day. Which I worked out is exactly 4 weeks from the day I have my appointment. And the woman said to make sure I come back every 4 weeks to be waxed, so now I'm worried that i wont be able to be waxed again the day before he comes down because the hair wouldn't be long enough to be waxed yet, however then i've also heard first time waxers last two weeks? So any advice would be great! no you will be spouting hair again if you have waxing on the 17... that's nearly a month.
you have two options.
1. skip this waxing (I will go 8 weeks or longer depending on what's going on in my life)
2. wax now and then wax again in four weeks. that won't be an issue.
here's the way it works:
our hair grows in cycles. waxing rips the hair from the root and it takes about 6 weeks to regrow that particular batch but while you wax what you see... what you don't wax are the dormant hairs you don't see that are starting to grow even as you lay on the waxing table....
ever wonder why your hair does not thin on your head as you find hundreds of hairs in your brush daily? we lose about 100 hairs a day on our head... but we always have more growing and making up for it. same for the hair on our bodies.
also I have to say, if you and your boyfriend can't cope with a bit of pubic hair... well that gets very difficult.
We are supposed to have hair... I do not understand why so many young folks think that being totally bare is the way to go.
Now for us older women we have the choice of totally bare or dying the gray (yes dear your pubic hair will turn gray too this is my public service announcement of the day ladies) but when I was younger (in the 70s) we did not even trim....
