Unless you have some way of contacting him, I guess you won't find out until you go back to school. Until then though, I can imagine it must be difficult! I think it is fine and natural to think about this guy, and I suppose it is maybe a little bit exciting too. I mean, you are probably looking forward to seeing him again...but a bit nervous at the same time.
So I would say, there is no need to forget about him, because you don't know what might happen when you see him again. But, just try not to make this your number one focus over the holidays. Sure, think about him, but try not to obsess over this to the exclusion of everything else. Keep seeing your friends, and keep planning nice things to do. Just try and stay busy, to keep your mind occupied a bit more. This might help to take some of the focus off this guy, until you see him again.

 I wouldn't give up on him if you feel that strongly about him. And if he was about to ask you out, then that means he could like you as well. But that depends how long it was since you knew he was going to ask you out. Is there anyway you can contact him? phone? text? internet? Just to put yourself back in his mind. Get him thinking about you. And you say you go to parties? Well, the majority of my relationships have started at parties, and the girl initiated it. Just have a think about how to contact him, to get him thinking about you. Hope i helped =] x
