Do you think I'm cut out to be her boyfriend?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Just wondering if I have anything to worry about here, I don't think I do.

I've started a thing with a girl and things are going great, but I can't help but to feel a bit selfconscious.

You see, I'm a somewhat out of shape white guy, and all of her past relationships have been with very muscular black guys. She also has an obvious thing for black guys, and often says that the reason her past relationships didn't work are because although they were sexy they didn't have brains, which she thinks I do.

So do I have anything to worry about here? She's very open minded, but this has still been on my mind a bit.

I dont think you have anything at all to worry about. Obviously your gf has matured and come to the realisation that looks dont really matter so much- what matters is who the person truly is. And im sure, although you are not black and overly muscly, that you does find you attractive. There must be SOME attraction initially for two people to like each other.

You have no worries! She wanted a change, she realised that what she had been doing wasn't right for her. Some people need a change in their love life to make them realise what's right, I'm currently looking for someone who's not my usual type! She complimented you, I would be very proud they she chose you over the others.
