A female United States age 30-35, *teph pao writes:

Ok so, I've been seeing this guy for about a year now and my bestfriend doesn't like him. At all! He didn't really do anything to her all he did was agreed that she was a slut but the boy who actually called her a slut she still likes? I really like this boy, and me and his family got SO close so it's not easy to let him go. However, I ended up letting him go because he was acting different and I needed my friend. After a while I realized how much I missed him so now me and my friend aren't friends anymore because of him basically. Do you think it's wrong because of my descion?.. I need help!

A reader, anonymous, writes (22 October 2009):

Hmmm this is a difficult dilema.

Your friend should be happy for you, and not judge this guy that you like.

Then this boy shouldnt treat you badly either, even though he also is a good friend.

I think you may need to decide whos friendship you value more, and who is going to be there to support you as a friend.

Hope this helps xxx
