It worries me that he said no, even though she was just kidding. * btw hes always sending his friends on ahead and stopping to talk to me, and he talks to me on IM, and hes always teasing me and pinching my sides and stuff. I think he likes you, but it's likely he hasn't had much experience with girls yet, so he hasn't matured yet. It's more likely he was trying to be 'cool' in front of everyone. The only real way to find out is to ask him when he is alone.

reader, anonymous, writes (13 November 2009): i think that this guy does like you, but its not the ideal way to start a relationhip with your friend getting involved, she thinks she is doing the right thing maybe, but really she should leave it up to you guys.its not fair to put him on the spot, its like being broadcast for the whole of the hall to hear.I think you should just relax, ask your friend not to get involved as it could go the other way, and he might get sick of her taunting and teasing him. if he really likes you he will make the next move eventually, you could just ask him yourself if your feeling brave, but if not just keep things low key, its sweet that you chat on IM, its personal and kind of cute that you are developing this relationship, even if it is slowly, it should just be between you two.just go with the flow, if hes worth it he will make the move, and if you just have to know one way or the other, just ask him to be honest x
