Tampons won't necessarily break your hymen but if you have done a lot of exercise in the past (such as horseback riding, etc) it is possible that your hymen is broken already. So to answer your question, you may or may not bleed. Don't worry about it; not bleeding your first time doesn't make you any less of a virgin. Either way, it's probably going to hurt the first time, so be prepared for that.
I think when your boyfriend said it takes about three minutes, he's referring to how long it takes before he comes...not how long sperm is actually coming out. The time it takes for ejaculation can vary widely from guy to guy. So three minutes is probably true for your bf (if he's been jerking off lately, he would know better than anyone.) Good luck ;)

A tampon may or may not break your hymen. Some people bleed the first time they have sex, some do not. There are really no absolute truths here. Everyone is differant. Most girls bleed and find their first time very, VERY painful. But there are a minority of girls who do not! And it only takes a few seconds, not minutes for ejaculation to complete. I have never timed it before as I am really more caught up in the moment, but my guess is about 20 or 30 seconds at the most.
