Wotan agony auntI wouldn't say that it makes you come off as "easy" to ask a guy out. If anything, it shows that you are confident and assertive, two traits that usually aren't associated with being "easy" at all.

I can't think of a single guy I know who would be intimidated by being asked out.

Yos agony auntMen like it but be careful. Men also don't like women who come across as 'easy'. At least not as long term girlfriends. So by all means ask him out, but then once you know he is interested, make him work to win you. Show that you are keen but not too keen. Good luck.

The "He's Just Not Into You" guy thinks men don't like it when a woman calls or makes the first move, but what does he know he is just one "guy".

A male reader, Somebody +, writes (7 March 2007):

It would be a turn on for me. Men are intimitated by women, period. I think it is wonderful for women to make the first move and be the aggressor sometimes. Men are expected to face rejection from a young age on, which prevents some of us from persuing a woman we may want. Not all of us are players, and this doesn't mean we lack confidence. Rejection just gets old very fast.

Don't wait for the man you want to come to you - go and get him because he may want you too, but after years of rejection, he just doesn't have the nerve to come up and begin a conversation. Go get your man ladies!

Some men like it when women make the first move and find it rather sexy rather than the other way round. Also by making the first move they can tell that you are shining with confidence.
