Do women have less sexual desire than men on an average. Women I feel are more romantically and emotionally oriented while men are into doing the thing. One prof of it is the women rarely initiate sex.

Since man has such a high libido that the less of women is still a significant desire and this works fine for the relationship.

A male reader, DoubleM United States +, writes (15 October 2008):

DoubleM agony auntWell you are apparently in your early 20s in India, and I'm a 60-year-old man in Texas. Different cultures, but I have known many women who initiate the act of making love. Of course, each knew me quite well and knew that I was always ready - at least usually. In answer to your question, "Do women have less sexual desire than men on an average?" My conditional answer is "No. Not if they are with a good sexual partner."

A male reader, anonymous, writes (15 October 2008):

I know it sounds like a moronic statement. But I don't really think women do.

They like sex and when they get going they enjoy it equally as much as a guy does.

But men, all men (and those that say they don't are lying idiots) would spend every moment of every day having sex if they could help it.

We control and push aside this desire all the time. But it is there and harder to resist then women think. As the male sexual desire usues more testosterone then women have in their bodies, our desire is far more phsyically potent then women realise.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (14 October 2008):

A woman's sexual desire is equally as strong as a man's when she is in love, Whereas a man does not have to be in love to feel strong sexual desire. Most happy men I know say that the sex is better when they are in a loving relationship though. The intimacy that comes from love and trust makes sex stupendous for a woman! Don't fall into the trap of thinking it is about mechanical text-book expertise. You can push all the buttons you want, but making a woman feel special and beautiful and loved is the key. Occasionally we all just feel lust, but it's better to lust over your partner. Most women don't like themselves afterwards if they just give in to lust.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (14 October 2008):

Women can have a high sexual drive too but for them everything usually starts with how they feel emotionally.I personally think, that for women sex is more of a mind thing than physical. The way they have orgasms is also related to how good they feel doing it.

Mostly, they don't just want to have sex by looking at a man walking down the street.I hope I have answered your qs if that was a question actually:)
