writes: what really switches a girl on to a man? does looks really play a big part in it? i know for most men (the perhaps more shallow of us) its the ususal good looks, curvacious, sexy body that provokes the chase, as it were. do woman value the "same" attributes in a man before she becomes interested?i've been chasing this girl for a while and i'm not sure how i rate on her radar. i suppose i would say i'm attractive as most ordinary men go, but certainly no bradd pitt if you know what i mean!  Yep, a sense of humour every time - very sexy, more so than looks, or shape, but a guy has to look as though he at least bothers to wash/shave in the mornings, and take care of himself too (lol) By 'sense of humour', I mean NOT just 'telling jokes', but being observant and understanding what makes her tick; the odd witty quip without 'trying too hard' - what a turn-on!! Intelligent conversation - without being too 'bookish! That works for me, at least...Oh, and don't look too 'needy - she may think you're a stalker!!!

 Obviously, when you first look at a person, before you know anything about them, the first thing you notice is how they look. BUT - you could be Johnny Depp and a complete asshole, then girls won't be interested in you. On the other hand, you could look like Johnny Vegas but be the sweetest, nicest, funnyest man in the world - she just needs the chance to get to know you. From what I gather (now I'm done rambling!!) You are some where in between JD and JV and thats fine. Just talk to her, ask her about herself and make her laugh. It sounds like a cliche but it really works. The first thing (cept the obv. "hi" etc) that my current bf said to me was "so, why don't you drink?" A personal question to me and it completely won me over. I told him and we talked seriously and he made a stupid joke to make me laugh. And I'm crazy about him. So it really works. I hope this helps,
