Do we break up seeing as this is turning into a LDR?

am 17 and he is 21.. we have been together for the last 2 years and 6 months... but recently he has gone out on career grounds and he will return only in october.. and i am clearing my 12 grade in march so by june even i'll be out of town by june may be for the next 5 years so i think its going to be very difficult for us to continue and even if we do we will not be happy in this kind of distance which will come.. but if i have to break up.. i don't know how to do it as we have been very close to eachother..
