writes:Is is true that people tend to speak the truth, and say what's truly in their heart when they are loaded? My b/f seems to have some difficulty being sweet and romantic to me, but when he's loaded he becomes poetic and loving, saying all the things I need to hear, telling me how beautiful I am, how much he needs me, how much he loves and adores me, how lucky he feels to be with me etc. etc., but when he's sober he's quite the opposite. Could it be true that he needs help to lose his inhibitions and say what's his on his mind, or is it all bullshit? Reply to this Question

 Well there is this girl I dont like much and shes always getting drunk. When shes sober shes always saying how ugly I am but when she was p*ssed she called me up to say I was the prettiest girl she had ever met!
No idea which one is the truth but hoping for the latter I guess..

 Alcohol for sure relaxes you and makes you lose your inhibitions. So yes for me i tell the truth when im drinking so to speak.

While he may have trouble communicating his feelings to you on a day to day basis, it all comes flowing out when he's good and buzzed. Look at the bright side, at least you know what his true feelings are. Maybe in time he will become comfortable enough to express himself all the time. Good luck!

reader, anonymous, writes (26 August 2008): i never tried alcohol. but i honestly believe there is truth in what he says. being in our society. the man is a man no crying, no emotions, no girly girl thing like "care". when he's drunk its like he's relaxed you know? like when you get a sugar rush, do you honestly care what people think or just glad your messing around with your HomieZ. i myself try to be honest with myself so i understand ME, because One's Self is the most important thing. i wouldn't have a problem telling a girl i love her and all..but i still have the sense would my girl be attracted to that? honestly.. or would you rather have a man. i believe myself to be a girly man, but im damn proud of knowing my values to being true and honest.
