writes:I've had crushes before, but now I'm experiencing something very different, there's a boy at school, at first when I met him, I saw him as just a friend. But suddenly I've begun to really, really like him in a whole new way. We chat, but I don't really hang around with him, although we laugh and mess around with each other. I have found out that he likes another girl, and my friend is always teasing him about it, I laugh but deep down I feel really, really envious and upset. I don't know what to do, I say to myself just forget about him, but I just can't help being near him. What should I do, tell him or just leave it?

reader, anonymous, writes (23 November 2007): Drop a hint. If her name comes up, ask him something like "I thought you were in love with me" or something similar. If he says no, you can brush it off as a joke. If he responds well, then take it further. Since he hasn't gone after the other girl yet, he might be a little shy. If he's shy, he may not make the first move on you either. Do what I said, see how he responds, and go from there.

 hunney tell him how you feel.maybe hes dating another chick because he wants to make you jealous.let him know because then your options are open.because if he brakes up with her then at least he knows that you like him and maybe hell give you a shot.maybe he feels the same way about you but hes afraid to tell you first.so let him know how you feel.

Next time you see him try to give him a discreet hint that you see him a more than just a freind, it sounds like the other girl he likes won't pose much of a threat to you. It will be a gamble worth taking, you won't be disappointed.
