The problem is she says i owe her gas money but i dont think i do, so i was wondering how do you know if yo do owe some one or not? The thing is she would call me and say hey i got to go to the store wanna come with or i have to run some errands etc so i would come with her and i only live 5 mins away so its not like its a long drive. Iv bought us out eat a few times and on one of the trips to the stores she asked me to i ended up paying for her stuff to. I dont know how to stick up for myself im not very assertive so i dont know what to do. I dont want to ruin are friendship but i really dont have the money and she keeps asking for it. Stop going any where in her car with her.
I would like So_Very_Confused suggest ask her for a list, and then make your own list of the times and amount you paid out for her for food and stuff.. however, fighting over money is a easy way to end a friendship.. I wouldn't pay her a dime, maybe that is just me.

Ask to to give you an itemized list of what you owe her , for what you owe it and when she laid the money out.
it would probably be too late to ask for receipts but if she paid with a debit card or credit card there will be proof....
