He likes your best friend, and she must like him to if she goes out with him, so I think you need to accept this and be happy for them.

You don't have a boyfriend to lose, and even if your best friend stopped going out with him tomorrow there is no guarantee that he would then view you as potential girlfriend material.
Even if your best friend didn't know that you really like him, it would make no difference, I am a little bit confused with that comment of yours, are you expecting her to not go out with him anymore because you like him?
Whatever, the boy in question clicked with your friend, and not you, and now you need to decide if you are going to accept that or do something that might hurt your best friend and split you up for good, and EVEN THEN the boy might still not ask you out.
