A male reader, anonymous, writes (2 November 2008):

Never let him think that it is his! My God, never have this thought of making him think it was his own! That is just terrible!

He spends everyday of his life looking forward to being a father, cuddles the woman who's carrying his baby, talks to the belly, adores the baby, raises it, guides it, teaches it watches the child grow up, sees him marry and gets grandkids... only to never realise that the child is not his? Can you do that to him? How can you even consider this an option?

At what point of the timeline that I depicted above do you think it would ever be right to tell him?

You need tell him before all this, i.e. NOW!
