I was just told to leave, just like that.So now my question is, do I have a Criminal Record? I have applied for jobs and got to interviews but Im never called back even on obvious posts, could it be that when the agencies do background check, something appears? :'( Reply to this Question Share |

tonik is verified as being by the original poster of the questionThank you a lot blonde30s and tottyflossy, I took your advice, I called one of Magistrates I know and he said the only way to get a Criminal Record is if you are found guilty by the Court of Law. So he told me that I don't have one. Im so happy! Thanx a lot.

It is different in every country! The best thing to do is call your local police station (Not the emergency services because this is not an emergency!) and just ask if there is anybody you can speak to about this! They will advise you who you need to speak to and you will get the best advice possible! In England the only way you will get a criminal record is if you are arrested and prosecuted/convicted for the crime you committed (innocent untill proven guilty) and even if you did get convicted, if the crime is only minor like yours it comes off your record in 5 years anyway.

Hope this helps.x
