reader, anonymous, writes (21 April 2011): I've listened to women talk about having a ONS because they "just wanted to feel loved" when I already know guys (or even their steady BF) that already loved them a lot and were always ready to show it.
I've listened to women talk about "I thought it was going to lead somewhere" when they had a ONS on a weekend vacation or trip to a foreign place that had nothing to do with the rest of their normal lives.
I think women are driven by the baser instincts to do these things just as much as men are. Women are just more into self-delusion and rationalizations about it than men.

They DO have one night stands, but just browse Dear Cupid and you'll see how most of these one night stands are prompted by anything but the pure search for unfettered pleasure, i.e. : loneliness, low self - esteem, being drunk or high, peer pressure, and ,quite often, the misperception that the one nighter is just the first step of a future relationship.
I guess what your question really meant is , how many chances you've got to meet a woman who's up for some no strings fun on the nights you are painting the town red -
I'd say, more than you'd think and less than you'd like.
As for what works for attracting women, I guess it's the same whatever you want from them, whether an adventure or a relationship : be clean, as well dressed and well groomed as you can, act confident but not cocky, be friendly, be warm,be polite. ( "I like your smile " still works better than "wow, nice ass !" also on she-wolfes on the prowl ). And please please please don't bullshit them into thinking that your interest is deeper than it is, - and do NOT take advantage of anybody who is obviously drunk.
