The pre-ejaculate acutally contains no or almost no active sperm. The amount of sperm in pre-ejaculate fluid is miniscule (there may be none at all), and what sperm is in the fluid is, according to two recent studies, possibly immobile. UN WHO/USAID define an infertile male as one with less than 3 million sperm per ejaculation; at most a few thousand will be pre-ejaculate, so the chance of pregnancy from pre-ejaculate is actually lower than the chance of preganancy using most forms of birth control (since birth control often fails). However, that does not mean you ought to have unprotected sex -- the pregannacy risk is not from the pre-ejaculate fluid but from the possibility that a man doesn't actually withdraw his penis prior to the beginning of ejaculation. Since a woman can't control a guy's behavior and a guy may not be at his most responsible and logical during intercourse, always use contraception. Pre-ejaculate material does contain macrophages and CD4 lymphocytes, so even though there is no sperm, an HIV positive partner will have HIV in his sperm, and in general pre-ejaculate will contain any semen-carried sexual transmitted illnesses.

Every guy is different, but the pre-cum might be so small that you don't notice it mixed with all the sweat and other stuff.
It only takes 1 sperm to get you pregnant though, so you have to be really careful and get a condom on it before you get anywhere near that point.
People who use the withdrawal method have lots of kids.
Good Luck!! xx
