I want to add my boyfriend on relationship status and I know my boyfriends answer to it already 'im private'...but if u were private why open a facebook account and put up a pic of yourself and where u went to college and let everyone see your friends? Is that not exposing a certain amount of information already? He told me before he doesnt like telling people about his life but he does tell them certain aspects so why is he keeping me hidden (in places). I should add all his main friends know about me so on facebook the ones that dont would only be people he met on hols and added or people from college. We are going out two years.

Do his friends and family know about you? Have you been introduced to his inner circle?
Wait I did read back and see that his "MAIN FRIENDS" know.
Then the term "girlfriend" and "relationship" are words he uses to be with you, but he is not serious enough to tell the world "THIS IS MY GIRL and IM PROUD OF IT".
I know husbands that do not list their wives, which I find disturbing. But, I tend to think it is not a big deal to not list your GF/BF.

Most people with a facebook will list as in a relationship I think.
I wouldn't say it's a dealbreaker at all though if he's not hiding his relationship from his friends or family in real life. Some people do prefer not to put their relationship status for some reason or another. I think it's perfectly reasonable though to want some pictures of the two of you on there somewhere though.

most of the men I know on facebook list their relationships.
in fact, that's how I knew my marriage was over, my husband changed is relationship status.. that's how I knew my son broke up with his gf he changed his relationship status.
on the other hand if in real life he does not keep you secret.. facebook is just silly games and such and should not make or break your choices.
BUT if someone is keeping their relationships secret ONLINE they may be doing online flirting or a faux LDR and a change in their ONLINE status would affect those relationships...
