Should I break up with my boyfriend? He lives in NY and I live in MA. We only see one and other when I travel there one- two times a month.

We mostly talk online. Hardly ever talk on the phone. I was fine with that though.. Or at least I thought I was.

I just lost a big deal because I was visiting him for my birthday... And now I'm second guessing and questioning everything.

But I love him. And it's taken me 2 years after breaking up with my ex (whom I was with for 7 years) to find someone worth taking a chance with. I don't know what to do.. I just know that this doesn't feel right..

And I'm so sad... I lost a big deal...and a lot of money....

But I think the sadness about the lost deal may be sadness about my not so perfect relationship in disguise. What should I do?

A reader, anonymous, writes (12 June 2005):

It is very difficult to maintain a relationship at distance. I manage to keep one for 5 years, which 2 and a half were in separate countries. I ended up breaking up with him because I started to NOT miss him that much, I got used to live without him. He never came. So, why should I keep waiting for him... waiting for what?

So ask yourself, is he ever going to go to you? or want you to go to him? Permanently? Then deside if it is worth waiting and suffering so much for him.

If you feel that you just cannot bkeak up with him, don't worry... time will tell.
