person12345 agony auntYes, when you take the pill at any point during your period, you will probably stop bleeding within 1-2 days.

MonksDaBomb agony auntI don't think the pill can work THAT quickly, but what do I know?

What I do know is I have been taking, I think it's called Gianvi (a generic brand of Yaz) and my periods are pretty much non-existent! It's so great, but when I got my first period on the pills, it wasn't too long after I lost my virginity and was afraid something had happened. Whew!

Just keep monitoring your time of the month and how you feel. Yaz and Gianvi also made my skin extremely oily and gave off this horrible stench (it still makes my skin oily but at least the smell is gone), so all pills work differently.

Hi there. The pill can sometimes make your period a bit lighter than usual.

Have you only just started taking them for the first time?

There should always be some information about the contraceptive pill, inside the box which fully explains what to expect when using the product, plus any risk factors associated with taking the pill. It usually goes into a lot of detail.

In any case, if after reading this information you still have any questions, it is always best to consult your doctor who prescribed them to you just to voice your concerns. You need to know if there are any risks with your taking them.

Make an appointment to see your doctor anyway, because you need to be fully informed about taking the pill in any case, for your own peace of mind.

Hope this helpful to you. Take care and best wishes.
