Did the last 12 months mean nothing to him?

any suggestions or comments would be grateful please so i can find closure... i met someone 3 months ago, all has been great, i do have children and the person i was dating they hadnt of met my children yet we have just been enjoying the dating and having fun together. all of a sudden after a normal evening together a week ago talking about christams etc he left mine baring in mind i thought all was fine, i text as usual, no replies phoned numerous times and more texts, asking please to answer, no reply. so a mix of being worried or thinking is it over after 5 days i confronted him out of the blue, he said he had probs and issues and didnt want to burden me and its over just like that.. obvously hurt how do i move on and understand why and what did those 12 months mean to him, do men shut off just like that like i never exsisted? male and female comments would be grately appreciated

And yeah, people can do this. Either he has a reason or it didn't mean as much to him as it did to you.

Since you date for 3/12 months and he hadn't met your kids, it can't have been to involved.

try it one more time asking that you want to understand and are willing to help if you can (if you want that) but if he doesn't reply, then he just wants to end it. It happens.

How did you confront him btw? One thing that springs to mind is being arrested. It would explain the sudden absence.

You know the answer to your own question. If it meant anything, he'd still be there. Don't waste your time and emotions. Move on and focus on your kids.
