I know some people it could take longer than others, but is it normal for it not to happen right away sometimes?Im not sure if this question makes sense but I worded it as best as I could. My partner and I were just looking for a little advice. Ty everyone.

I started taking prenatal vitamins for my nails and hair b/c i had heard that it makes it healthier. We we're going to have sex and we usually have a box of condoms but when we went to get one they were all out. We've been together for 3 and a half yrs and the condom has broke before and everything so I thought it would be ok to do it ONE time w/out protection. I'm assuming the prenatal vitamins had something to do w/it but we got pregnant the first time. But it normally takes most people anywhere from 1-2 years to conceive. I wish you the best of luck!

Then I see some women (like my mom) who have been sexually active for years and have only gotten pregnant once (twice, etc.)
I havent been actually trying to get pregnant, but at the same time I have not been preventing it, and I was worried maybe there was something wrong.
but thank you guys C:

Of if you were on the depo shot, it can take 6-18 months for your body's hormonal cycle to go back to normal.

Yes it's normal for it not to happen right away..It can take up to a year to conceive naturally, after a year's worth of trying it's best to see your gyno so they can run tests and discuss alternative options if necessary.

It took my wife and me over a year to get pregnant with our first child. We waited until we were out in the workforce and financially stable before trying though. We were in our early thirties at the time. My sister on the other hand, went off the pill and was pregnant in two months. It just depends on the fertility and timing.

It took me a little over a year to conceive. We weren't actively trying (like we didn't measure temperatures and hormone levels, etc to find out my ovulation time). We just had sex on a pretty regular basis, and it took over a year. Maybe 14 months.
