Maybe he broke your hymen you mean? That isn't harmful. Your health is fine. It could be he got blood from your period on his fingers? If he went in deep with his fingers, it usually takes a little before the blood comes down and out, and if you only have a light bleeding at the beginning of your period this could be it?

By 'breaking through' do you mean your hymen? This can be broken through exercise and using tampons, so even though you haven't had sex, it's still possible that it's already broken.
Maybe you have a small cut somewhere in your vagina - this can also cause a slight bit of blood. Also, if that was your first time being fingered and your BF wasn't gentle, he could have very well cut you.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if you are panicking, a visit to your GP will clear it all up :)

It is very normal to bleed after a first penetration, but it could also have been fingernails causing it.
If you do have concerns, then you should visit your GP
