Did he ask me out for a date on Valentines Day because he likes me? I'm anxious about it.

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Today I went to lunch with this guy that I like, he asked me out on valentines day but I am very anxious about it.

I've been on one date with him, well if you call it that since it was casual. But I'm not sure if i'm supposed to get him something, or arrange anything?

Also, do you think this guy likes me and is looking to hopefully see if this will turn into a relationship, or do you think he just asked because he wanted to go out on valentines day?

tennisstar88 agony auntHe asked you then he's the one who has to do the arranging, unless he asks for your input.

It's only the second date, so he's not expecting a Valentine's Day gift. If you didn't want to turn up empty handed, then I'd get him a small box of chocolates.

Your post is pretty vague, so no one is going to be able to tell you whether he definitely likes you or not. Provide more info, like what happened on your first date would be really helpful.

My guess is he must be interested if he asked you out on a second date, and he also didn't want to be alone on Valentine's Day.
