reader, anonymous, writes (10 May 2006): This is really something you need to talk about with a careers advisor either at your school or an independant one. I would suggest that to have credibility in the field though, you need to start writing for your school newspaper etc, as Universities like to see that you have been expressing your will to be a writer by actually doing it! A Uni degree is generally 3 or 4 years.
