 yeah your going to have to let this one go. I'd just stop talkin and ask your friends in front of him to stop it too. that way he'll at least see you are trying to keep the friendship going. But it dosent stop there: I'd be inclined to give him space like the below poster said. But if you really liked him as your friend just give it time and space and eventually he'll come accros (as your friend only) but it might take a while.

 Just play it cool, pretend you're not into him anymore, that way he won't think that you're just talking to him because you like him. Don't bother tryong to be friends or anything, if he like you then he'll make a move, otherwise just keep busy doing other things and try to get over him. You can't make him like you but you can make yourself not like him!x
