Hello! This are my tips for Creating an Altar.

You don't have to be a witch or practice magic, an altar can be a focal point in your home where you can connect with the sacred.

There are no rules to creating an altar, it is a very personal thing. Where you put it is important, it should be somewhere relaxing and quiet so you can meditate with your alter if you choose.

An altar can consist of feathers, candles, crystals, rocks, flowers, pictures and figurines of your favourite animals. It doesn't have to be huge or complicated and you can alter your altar as you go!

Have all your objects displayed on a nice piece of cloth. I personally like purple velvet but satin also works, choose which colour works for you.

When it is prepared, all you have to do is enjoy it, Light the candle if you use one, only when you are at your altar praying, singing, chanting or whatever you wish to do. This symbolises your focus on the altar. Don't let children play with it either, this is a very special place for you.

When at your altar you can talk to loved ones who have passed over or you can give thanks to the universe for all you have. It's up to you.
