reader, anonymous, writes (11 June 2007): I know for a fact that sperm can live up to a maximum of three days outside the human body. It does not die as soon at it touches the air athough there may be rumours that it does.
However if he had washed his hands before it is unlikely that she could have got pregnant. But unfortuantly it is not impossible. I would recommend that the girl gets checked out just to be certain because there is no harm in being too careful.
I wish your friend the best of luck and reccomend that he is more careful in the future.

No it is very unlikly that she is pregnant for, the sperm dies as soon as it reachs the air, and it would not live on his hand, therefore when he fingered her the sperm was already dead, so therefore the sperm cannot travel and get her pregnant.
If she is unsure then if it helps then she should go and see a doctor but they will just tell her the same.
But trust me hey have nothing to worry about.
