A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Well, I have been there my best friend forever for 9 months. She just got of a serious relationship with a guy. He kept breaking up with her a few times before he proposed to her in front of me and they had a fight and he told her to go and do something to herself while he was drunk while he is on probation n doing drugs.

I broke up with my girlfriend cause she lied to me. And her ex fiancée is in jail for a few months. And she came to me cause I understand her what she =has been through. Then we used to date and we got back together but its going to take time for her to get over him but they were only together for 6 months and I was with my fiance for 4 months. We get along so well. Her ex fiancée never took her anywhere like I do. Could we make things work?

Yes, you could definitely make things work if she feels the same way about you, tell her how you feel and if she accepts you asking her out, your friendship will just make the relationship that much better :)
