writes: Me and my partner have been trying for a baby for over 12 months. July last year I had a miscarriage, but since then I haven't managed to get caught pregnant. My period is now over 1 week late. I have done 3 pregnancy tests where they're all negative. Is there a possibility that I could be pregnant but too early to show on test?

My sister with both her pregnancies, had the result come out as negative on both the tests she did. Whilst the home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate Sometimes the hormone that is normally present in the urine to show a positive result isnt always strong enough. I think my sis even left one test for ages, she looked at it after the 3 mins it said.. went back to it 4 hours later and it had turned to positive! Anyway if your unsure pop along the docs and see what they say.
Hope it all turns out for you.
Take care x

There is the chance that you may be pregnant because my sisters friend was in a similar scenario and the pregnancy tests showed up negative but when she went to the hospital it turned out she was. Go to your GP for proper confirmation. Best of luck. xXx

There is a chance you could be pregnant. In the first two weeks of being pregnant, you can have what is called a 'Double Negative'. If your period still hasn't come in two weeks and your tests are still showing negative, it would be best to talk to your GP.

Hey There
Firstly sorry to hear about your loss babe thats a hard thing to deal with and get over... you have my sympathy there honey. but as for the pregnancy thing well the home tests that are actually on the market now are usually quite spot on not trying to rain on your parade i know how the desire for wanting a baby can suddenly creep up on you when you least expect it and the disappointment when your not can consume you... but quite rightly as my collegue above has already stated the more you worry... no not worry thats the wrong word the more you seem to think about your period being late the less chance you have of actually getting it honey.... so to be honest the only true opinion you can except is the one of your doctor... so book an appointment and go find out one way or the other...
I hope i was able to help you Good luck
You Take Care X
p.s i'll keep my fingers crossed for you

Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate these days, as I understand, but yes, they can be wrong.
If you want to be really sure, go see your doctor and get a proper test from him/her.
Remember too, though, that your menstrual cycles can be affected by your stress levels, so if you've been worrying and fretting, that can actually delay your period.
Your best bet is to go and see your doctor.
Fingers crossed for you, dear!
