Hi,

I really need some help. My bf is my first seuxal partner, I have been intimate with my bf for about 10 months and we have always used condoms (i am not on any other birth control). Last night we had sex and i was really dry but we continued anyway. After my bf had an orgy (he was on top of me) we lay in that position for about 30 seconds. When we pulled himself out of me he checked the condom and saw that none of his cum was in it and that it bust.Which means that his entire load was in me! I stood up immediate and after 1 minute i felt his cum come out of me.

So i went to the loo and urinated. Please help me. i dont know what to do. Can i be pregnant? Im going to take the morninng after pill, will that help and how certain is the morning after pill? I dont want to be pregnant and i know that if the pill doesnt work my bf wouldnt want me to have an abortion(he doesnt believe in them). I dont want to disappoint my parents or my bf. Please advise me what to do? Any advice regarding the morning after pill and it certainty would help greatly.

I dont think there is anything you can do to make it more effective. Just follow the instructions and take a pregnacy test like stina said to be sure. Take care x

stina agony auntHi - your questions aren't stupid! ^_^ That's good news about not feeling sick to your stomach!! Lets hope it stays that way! If it does start to hurt, though, I still recommend green tea. It helps a lot with stomach aches (I can't remember what in the tea actually helps out with this). Also, if you lay on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the bed/couch that will probably help. (Doing this has helped me.) Also, I would try to stick with bland foods just so you don't risk upsetting your stomach any more than what it could be.

I wouldn't worry too much - as long as you're taking the pill as instructed, it should work. Remember, nothing is 100%, but since you took it so early you are probably in the clear. If you want, you can take a pregnancy test later to double check.

Oh, and taking the morning after pill will probably mess up your cycle. With me, I always ended up getting my period right away. But I know others who have had their periods come late because of the morning after pill. But like I said, just take a pregnancy test to determine this for sure. (Take it after you've missed your period, if that's what ends up happening with your cycle.)

stina agony auntHey Anonymous,

I've taken the morning after pill several times and I never ended up getting pregnant. But one thing is for sure, it made me SOOO sick to my stomach!!! I recommend drinking LOTS of green tea. I was always wary about taking any meds to help make my tum feel better because I didn't want it to interfere with how well the pill worked. I know that if you're on the regular pill, taking meds messes with how well the birth control actually works. I would guess it's the same for the morning after pill, but I'm honestly not sure. I just knew that I didn't want to take any chances!

Hope this helps you out a bit. Take care.

Have complete confidence in the morning after pill. Perhaps it may be worth you going onto a conraceptive as well as your partner wearing condoms to make sure you dont get yourself in this position again. Take care x

A female reader, deejuliet United States +, writes (17 October 2007):

deejuliet agony auntRelax, Sweetie. The morning after pill will take care of it. I personally have never taken it but I can tell you that it is a short term high dose of birth control pills. It prevents an egg from implanting itself on the uterine wall and therefore prevents pregnancy. IF the egg was fertalized (and that is always the big 'if', isnt it?) then it will be unable to implant and will just die and flush away as it usually does. Now for the very, very gentle lecture. You have been doing the right thing using condoms. You have been faithful and careful in their use and generally speaking using condoms is sufficient birth control. Personally condoms is the only birth control that I am currently using. But then again, if I were to accidentally get pregnant I think I would celebrate rather than panic! So, since at your age it is so much more important that you NOT get pregnant, please consider using an additional (note I said ADDITIONAL, NOT DIFFERANT, do not stop using condoms!) birth control method. The pill or the ring are both very good choises. However, if you dont want to go the doctor or mess around with hormones, you can use a spermacidal jelly, foam, or incert that you can buy in the drugstore next to the condoms. A spermacidal agent is something that you insert into the vagina before you begin sexual intercourse and it kills sperm on contact should any happen to escape the condom. It should give your mind a whole lot more ease! Good luck!

angelblueeyes agony auntThe answer being possibly you would not know this for sure until 14-21 days after you had sex.

The morning after pill has to be taken before 72 hours of having unprotected sex but it is more effective the earlier it is taken. The effectiveness is 75-90%.

The morning after pill can make you feel unwell or make you vomit if you vomit within 2hours of taking the pill you will need another 2 pills.

Hope that has helped.

I think you know you could be pregnant, which is quite obvious. If you don't want to be pregnant the morning after pill should prevent it. No doubt the ladies here will tell you all the ins and outs about the pill.
