A male United States age 30-35, *ichja writes:

Ummm...My girlfriend and I have been dating for 4 months now and for some reason I always have the same problem around her. When I try to talk to her I forget what I wanted to say and end up sounding completely stupid so...How exactly could I find stuff to talk about that I wont forget at the sight of her? Shes beautiful and I'm not a shy guy to talk to a girl but Its different with her.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2009):

it might seem silly, but when you aren't with her and you think of things to want to talk about, write them down and bring them with you. At least if you forget, you'll have a "cheat sheet" to help you out in conversation.
