So hadnt taken the pill for some time.Last monday (now im bk in uk) i visited the nurse and was put on FEMULEN. I took the first tablet that day, my period didnt start till a day or two later. So now ive been taking it for a week as of today. (i have now finished my period). The nurse told me i must use condoms for 2 weeks, is this because i didnt start it on the first day of my period? What my main question is, is am i fully protected? as on the internet it states i am protected after 2 days?obviously i dont want to have sex without a condom if im not protected, but i have seemed to of heard different to what is online.Im in a serious r.ship (for several years now) and if i dont need to be using condoms, i dont want to.Please advise me.Thanks

It depends where you take the information from, to be fully protected it can be anywhere from 2 days, to 7 days, to 14 days to a month. Just to be safe, since no other pills have been in your system for a while, I would say you should wait at least 2 weeks before having sex without condoms. Hope that helpsAlex xx
