Recently I met a very nice man, literally a perfect gentleman who appears to have feelings for me and has told me so. The problem is that he lives far away from me and really the distance makes any kind of relationship impossible, not only from a practical and financial point but also from the emotional one. We have decided to just be friends and see what happens. im not really sure what Im asking... do these things work? Has anyone experienced this where you know you both have feelings but do not act on it?

I think you are very wise to just be friends.
it's possible later on it will grow and mature into something more than friends but then one of you will HAVE to move.
I'm doing an LDR right now and we are ONLY 2 hours apart and it kills us to be apart more than a few days at a time now.
