A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I recently got out of a relationship and one of my female friends who wants me to get out and about again suggested I get in contact with one of her girlfriends. I don't usually listen to suggestions like that from my friends but been feeling kinda lonely I went for it. My friend also said she would be a good "platonic" friend to go to the movies with or something. That appealed to me because I'm not looking for a relationship right now, maybe just a friend.

I got in touch with this girl via facebook. I sent a "hi" message and she responded. We traded messages for about a week, just small talk about what we do and where we live, etc. This past friday I sent a friend request which she didn't respond to. On monday after 10 days of trading messages I asked her if she'd have time and would like to go for coffee or something one day. She never responded to my question, in fact I haven't heard from her at all. On wed, today, she finally accepted my friend request....and deleted me maybe 10 mins later. My facebook profile is pretty bare so i don't know if it was because of something she saw or what.

Anyway, I don't know what I can do. Should I send her a message, asking about my question or the friend request? Or should I just forget her and move on?
