A female South Africa age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have been seen my girlfriend on and off for 6years. I do have a commitment problem I know. She has been really good to me all these years. I need to move out of my current place and she needs to move out of her place by the end of the month. We found a perfect place perfect price there is nothing wrong with it even if I tried to look. I got cold feet now she is very upset I don't blame her. Her parents are cool with the Idea mine are not. My mother says no and I don't want to disappoint her ether. I am 28 years old in a few days. Maybe I should grow up and move in with her? or should I break up with her?

Well I have just told my whole family now they are not happy.

My brother has just made me relize that my girlfriend has tricked me into moving in with her.

Youre 28 and need to let go of your mums apron strings.

Why would'nt your mum be happy with the idea - why would she be disappointed if you moved in with your girlfriend of 6 years?

You could at least rent somewhere and try before just ending it because you have coldfeet. It could the worst mistake youve ever made else.

Is your mother overprotective??

Weigh up the pros and cons and do what makes YOU happy (not your mother!)
