writes:I have been in love with a boy for the past 2 years but within those years he has been in a relationship with a friend. He finally confessed to sharing the same feelings and has ended the relationship. His ex girlfriend is absolutely devastated and knows the reason for the break up. She has begged me not to go out with him as it will hurt her so much and I feel terribly guilty. I'm finally getting the chance to have a shot with the boy I love but I know the hurt it will cause. What should I do?

reader, anonymous, writes (17 May 2010): your far to young for a relationship like this if you were 25 i would say go for it but your first few relationships will undoubtably fail. Keep the friend she will probably be around for longer., x
