What I've heard is that you can have sex once you've finished the injections which takes like 6 months. They say the injection is more effective if you do not have sex during the process. However, once that's over...voila she's free to have sex

 I would assume as tolerated. Have her call the doctor. He can give her the answer according to her own specifics. Each situation may vary. The injection can cause swelling, irritaion,bruising, allergic reactions,etc.
