Most people on here don't have a clue about health so you should ask your local doctor if you have a health problem rather than rely on strangers on the web.For example, dianette, one of the most popular pills:"You will still be protected against pregnancy in your pill-free week, provided you took all the pills correctly, you start the next packet on time and nothing else happened that could make the pill less effective (eg sickness, diarrhoea, or taking certain other medicines - see below)."http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100000754.html

Yes you can get pregnant. On that break you dont have protection so if you have sex use a condom. Some girls ovulate at the same time as their period.

It should keep your protected on your 7 days break. Read the leaflet that comes in the pill packet and that should explain it and possibly even have a helpline number.
It's always better safe than sorry though so if in doubt, use condoms.
Good Luck!! xx
